I had my second lecture of this semester today. Something funny happened: a student from Africa (dressed in hiphop clothes) asked me for help. He had tried to create a PDF file with vi... :-) anyways, after I explained PDF creation to him, he thanked me with:
"Thanks champ!"

yo, champ ;)
cheers,

hey!
i would use blender.
this might be too complicated for you.
an easy to use (and free) software is google sketchup. you most probably (i have no time to check it now) can do texture projection with it:
Import images: Paint walls with photos
With SketchUp, you can import image files like JPGs, TIFFs, PNGs and PDFs. You can use them by themselves (kind of like posters), but you can also stick them to surfaces to create photo-realistic models of buildings, package designs, and more.
